Sulgrave Manor Trust is dedicated to fostering education and promoting a deeper understanding of subjects that are closely connected to the heritage of Sulgrave Manor and the history of Anglo-American relations. As the ancestral home of George Washington, Sulgrave Manor stands as a symbol of the enduring ties between the UK and the US. The Trust seeks to engage with educational initiatives that explore these historical connections, as well as to encourage study in the areas of US history, literature and institutions, thereby enhancing cross-cultural understanding and scholarly collaboration.

Led by trustees, Dr Sam Edwards and Professor Stephen Hague, the Trust has launched the Sulgrave Seminar Series, a unique program designed to create a platform for intellectual exchange on both sides of the Atlantic. The series includes digital seminars that are developed in collaboration with academic partners from leading institutions in both the UK and US. Each seminar is broadcast live, bringing together scholars, students and history enthusiasts to explore pressing political, historical and social topics and their implications.

These sessions offer a space for rich dialogue and are designed to encourage active participation from attendees. Following expert presentations, there is dedicated time for listeners to engage in discussion, ask questions and contribute their perspectives. Each seminar is recorded - to catch up on previous seminars, click the button below:
