Sulgrave Manor is a house like no other. It is the original home of the Special Relationship between the UK and the US. Bought jointly through public subscription from both the UK and USA in 1914 to preserve the ancestral home of George Washington, the property has been a unique heritage attraction for over 100 years sharing inspiring stories of cooperation and collaboration. Today, we welcome new audiences to share inspiring stories of cooperation and collaboration.
As an independent charity, Sulgrave Manor Trust receives no government or public funding, and so we depend on the support provided by individuals and grants to fund all the areas of our work, from conservation and maintenance of the manor and collection to new acquisitions, education, research, maintaining our garden and staging events.
The support of our donors means we can look after the manor, garden and our collection for future generations to enjoy. Even the smallest donation makes a difference.
